Burns Street Studios offers flexible rehearsal space in Glasgow for theatre, dance, performance, exhibitions and creative events. Located just north of Glasgow city centre, our 170sqm accessible venue is available for day, week and longer-term hire.

With a variety of spaces available from 16 – 170 sqm, Burns Street Studios CIC can accommodate both long and short term projects – specialising in visual arts, theatre and film, but our flexible spaces and facilities cater for the Creative Industries as a whole.

Theatre Rehearsals
Our spacious 170sqm Main Hall provides a flexible rehearsal environment for theatre, dance, music and performance. With room for set builds, movement work and technical rehearsals, it’s ideal for projects of all sizes, from R&D to touring productions.

Dance & Movement
Designed with flexibility in mind, our bright open-plan hall is perfect for dance, physical theatre, circus and movement-based practice. The smooth floor, generous proportions and accessible facilities create an inspiring space to develop new work

Art Exhibitions
Transform our light-filled 170sqm hall into your own gallery. From solo exhibitions and graduate shows to installations and community projects, the space provides a versatile blank canvas with excellent access and flexible hire periods.

Performance & Events
Whether you’re presenting a theatre performance, artist talk, workshop or launch event, Burns Street Studios offers an adaptable venue that can be configured for seated audiences, standing events or immersive experiences.

Film & Photography
Our bright industrial interiors provide an excellent backdrop for film shoots, photography, interviews and set builds. The flexible open space can also be used as a production base for projects filming across Glasgow.

Workshops & Talks
From creative workshops and training sessions to community events and professional development, our welcoming space is ideal for bringing people together. Shared kitchen facilities and accessible access make it suitable for a wide range of activities.

As a Community Interest Company, any profit generated is not paid to individuals or shareholders, but reinvested back into improving our facilities, providing in-kind provision of spaces or support for creative projects.
